Public NoticeNotice is hereby given to those persons residing within the Carl Junction R-1 School District that pursuant to Senate Bill 64, Section 171.031, a public hearing will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 commencing at 6:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Room located in the Carl Junction Primary K-1 North for the purpose of public comments regarding the start date for the 2012/2013 school year. Boyd wins state honors for Peace PosterCarl Junction 7th grader, Chase Boyd, was one of 111 Carl Junction Junior High students who submitted entries for the Lions Club International Peace Poster competition. Chase's poster was chosen for top honors at the both the local and district levels and just recently earned 1st Place honors at the state level also. Her poster will now be sent to compete with other states and countries in the International Peace Poster contest. Each poster is judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme - Children Know Peace. |
